Why are trial runs so important?

Trial runs or 'bridal previews' are so important for the bride and the artist. It is a great way to get to know each other before your big day. You want to make sure you get along and at least 'like', if not love, your artist who will be spending hours with you on your wedding day.

Bridal previews can take much longer time than your wedding day. It is a time to chat about color schemes, your dress, the veil, etc. and most likely you will want to try a few shades of lipstick or lipgloss before you leave.

Why do we charge you for a trial run? Trial runs are still time consuming and we use product which all cost money. Be weary of FREE TRIALS or other ways to get you in the door, most likely you will want out! Experienced artists take their time and skills and equipment very seriously and we expect to be compensated for it. Luckily, most artists will discount the trial by 50% so it is about half of what you would expect to pay on your wedding (even though it takes more time).

Be prepared for your trial run and bring pictures or email them prior to your artist. This helps us get inspired, and we can prepare by sifting through our many eyeshadow palettes and lip glosses to choose the right one for your look. Bring your headpiece or veil with you to see how it all will come together. Don't be afraid to discuss different looks or change something during your trial run, this is the day to play so make it count!

Some helpful tips: Schedule your trial run on a day you are doing a dress fitting or trying on gowns, or on the morning of your engagement shoot or bridal shower. Get the most out of our trial run and enjoy the day!
